Important Bumbo® Baby Seat Product Information to Retail Stores
Dear Retailer,
As you may be aware, Bumbo International Trust has announced a voluntary recall in the United States and Canada to provide consumers with a restraint belt to help protect children when the Bumbo Baby Seat is used as intended: on the floor with adult supervision and never on raised surfaces. Bumbo worked with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada to develop the restraint belt, so it made sense to introduce it first in the United States and Canada.
Bumbo is offering the restraint belt as an addition to the Bumbo Baby Seat to consumers who want one, free of charge. The kit will consist of a restraint belt, easy-to-follow instructions and a new warning sticker. Consumers can request the Restraint Belt Kit directly from www.bumbo.com. The distribution and supply will be channelled through your Local Bumbo Sales Agent or Distribution Centre.
All newly-produced Bumbo® Baby Seat units will include the restraint belt and new warnings. We will be phasing out the existing inventory, but importantly, any consumer who would like to receive a restraint belt can go online to www.bumbo.com to request one free of charge. Bumbo® Baby Seat units that include the new restraint belt and warning will be distinguished by a yellow starburst sticker on the outside of each package indicating that the belt is included.
If you would like to order free restraint belt kits for any Bumbo® Baby Seat inventory that you have in the store or your warehouse, please contact your Local Bumbo Sales Agent or Distribution Centre.
IMPORTANTLY: Retail Stores are NOT to accept returns of the Product BUT should advise consumers to obtain the Restraint Belt Kit free of charge by visiting www.bumbo.com.
Please be assured that the Bumbo® Baby Seat is a safe product for infants when it is used as intended.
